Youthab helps individuals obtain and maintain the three essentials for quality of life: housing, good mental health and employment.
Under the Youthab umbrella of services are the Career Edge Employment Programs, the Community Mental Health Counseling Program and three very specific Housing Programs: the Transition Home Program, Cooperative Housing, and the Hastings Housing Resource Centre Program.
Today, through our various programs and a dedicated staff of over 50 professionals, we provide confidential, professional services to over 10,000 people per year in the 6 communities we service in the Greater Quinte area.

Community Advocacy & Legal Centre (formerly Hastings and Prince Edward Legal Clinic) is a non-profit community legal clinic. Staff provide free legal information, advice, assistance and representation to people living on a low income in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties. Information, advice and assistance may be given to any resident within Hastings and Prince Edward Counties in the following areas; tenant rights and obligations; Welfare and Ontario Works; Ontario Disability Support Plan; government pensions; Workplace Safety and Insurance; Employment Insurance; criminal injuries compensation; human rights; employment rights and refugee rights.
Clinic staff work with community groups on issues of concern to people living on a low income. Staff are also able to help groups to organize, on request. We advocate and provide information on issues affecting people living on a low income in our community. These activities can include presenting briefs to government; writing to and meeting with MP's and MPP's; test case litigation.
